Naughty Kareemo

Yesterday Kareem didn't want to leave me alone, he kept nagging all the time wanting me to pick him up. When I didn't listen, he started screaming and crying. At first I surrendered to his tears, they make me weak and guilty.. Then I decided to leave him cause I had to cook. His screaming made me nervous that instead of cutting the veggies, I ended up cutting my thumb. It was really difficult for me to continue preparing the food with an injured finger.

Kareem also woke up at about 3:30 am to eat, and decided not to sleep and was in the mood to play and laugh out loud. His laughing woke his dad up who stayed awake until he went to his job. I guess Ammar is thinking seriously of sleeping in the living room from now on :D

Same here...my baby is used to be held all the time...I don't think I'll be able to stand her screaming and crying...so some ppl suggested the carrier inside the house...I got one but never used it, I'm planning to do so once we're home a lone:)

How about if you get a baby bouncer, the light weight one and just take him around to the room where you'll be setting. I can't remember if Firas had that problem, but when he went to the day care they complained that he wanted to be held all the time. They put his bouncer in the front raw and it worked.
I'm not sure, but maybe he wants to be able to see you all the times, because I guess he's still not used to the new home.

I have one Nido and Dawn, sometimes he accepts sitting in it and just watch me, but at other times he screams so loud and cries. I've been told to leave him cry as long as he doesn't need anything but be held, but I just can't stand to see him crying :(

You mean the "Cry It Out" approach? Isn't he too young for that? Plus he's a boy, and screaming might cause him to get a hernia, God forbids. I doubt that Kareem is in the habit forming age yet, maybe it's just the transition from the home he knows to the new home. Maybe he just needs some time.
inshallah bet-hoon.

yeah Dawn, yemken t'3ayar 3aleh el jaw, that's what I've been told.
I also used to think that he's too young to have this habit, but he cries or yells when left alone, and stops it when I hold him, which means that he doesn't want to stay lone and wants me to hold him and play with him all the time.
